Basil Vinaigrette

A splash of this delicate basil vinaigrette dressing lets the goodness of fresh spring greens shine through. It’s also excellent drizzled over wedges of vine-ripened tomatoes!

  • ¼ cup olive or vegetable oil
  • 4½ teaspoons red wine vinegar or cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil
  • ½ teaspoon fresh garlic (chopped )
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Combine all ingredients in a jar. Shake well and serve over salad greens.
